Gig on Friday August 28th at The Queens Head, High Street, Box, Wiltshire SN13 8NH.
We have laid on a great show for you. We Booked THE DRYSTONES immediately after their storming set at The Glastonbury Abbey Extravaganza (Stepping in for Joan Armatrading) where they blew the crowd away. This is a band seriously on the UP!
Then we have our favourite Girl Rocker band. This will be a lively set from FLOWERPOT. Nice to see some energy and great songs delivered with Rocky Passion.
Flowerpot and The Drystones
The Drystones are a young lively folk duo from Priddy in Somerset playing violin, guitar and whistle, who have made a big splash since they formed in July 11. They play a mix of their own tunes and arrangements of folk tunes given drive, beat and energy. They have played festivals all over the West Country (including Sidmouth, Village Pump, Warwick, Bromyard, Purbeck and The Sunrise), and at their 2013 Glastonbury Festival performance they were highlighted by Steve Lamacq on Radio 2 as his “recommendation of the day”. This year they played the Avalon Stage at Glastonbury, were the Larmer Tree Breakthrough Music Award winners and were asked by Michael Eavis to play the Glastonbury Extravaganza when Joan Armatrading had to cancel! For just two people they make a lot of sound, you will not be bored!
Flowerpot is a 3 piece all female alternative rock band currently based in Bristol.
A diverse musical background from members Ellie, Louisa and Morgan create a bubbling cauldron fueled with essences of grunge, punk and rock infused with a twist of indie.

Geoffrey Oryema is an internationally renowned Ugandan musician. In 1977, when Idi Amin was in power in Uganda, Oryema was smuggled across the Ugandan border in the trunk of a car after his father’s traumatic death. Geoffrey has been living in exile in France ever since.
Oryema earned his international reputation following the release of his second album, Beat the Border. He has collaborated with Peter Gabriel and on the Real World Records label he has released three albums.
His latest album From The Heart is on the Long Tale Recordings label.
Stay Hungry are a local Hip Hop duo – TEEZ and ALEX PART will be performing a special acoustic set to keep things chilled in the August heat. Well established in the Bristol scene, Stay Hungry are signed to Temple Records and have made their way on to the festival circuit performing at Glastonbury and Shambala.
