JET LUCKHURST is a singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born in Bath.

jet-luckhurst-photoHe plays acoustic/pop, taking influence from artists such as; Ed Sheeran, Newton Faulkner, Imogen Heap and The Beach Boys. He is a student at Brighton Institution of Music (home of rising musical talent such as James Bay, Tom Odell and George Ezra), and returned to his strong Bath fan-base to perform during the summer.

Jet has significantly reinvented his sound in 2016, taking influences from John Mayer and Jack Johnson to create an authentic sound fusing the folk, pop and blues genres.

WHAT FLAG are back – two years on since their first Schtumm gig. WhatFlag presents cutting edge, inspiring, boundary pushing sounds. WhatFlag was formed in 2012 by Mark Smulian Gani Tamir and Gianni Cossu in the musical spirit of the band WhiteFlag, a band that Mark and Gani co- formed in 1998 with three Palestinians from Gaza and Israelis from Tel Aviv. As much of the musical material is influenced or comes from WhiteFlag, Schtumm’s Rob Bozas suggested they call the band WhatFlag. Which they did. WhatFlag’s music is a mix up of many influences rock, jazz, world, funk and whatever else sounds good. In the end WhatFlag is about trying to push the musicians comfort zone a little and to let the music lead.

WhatFlag today is about trying to blur ‘borders and boundaries’ in their music and the musicians allow themselves to take on the Duke Ellington attitude of ‘ if it sounds good it is good’.

The extraordinary Gani Tamir will be caressing you ears with her unique voice and charisma. The super and ethereal Mark Smulian on bass guitar sound.  Jools Scott will delight us’ with his unmistakable jazz/classical delicate touch. The man on guitar will be Gianni Cossu doing his own thing. Last but not least, we will enjoy super Daniel Creighton on drum, making is own buzzing groovy stuff.

What a fabulous line up for a night of great music!

Check out the Facebook page and look out for  updates and teasers.
